This table set is handmade in the Laguiole Le Fidèle workshops near Thiers, France.

It is unique, and the creation process requires over 170 manual operations by the craftsmen.

Pistachio wood

The pistachio wood is a little tree that grows in the Garrigue and the Mediterranean maquis. A native of Syria, it produces the pistachio.
Its hard wood is used in cabinetmaking and marquetry to make ornaments. The very smelly turpentine oil was originally obtained from its sap. The pistachio wood may have contrasting shades such as yellow, green and brown.
